Shaaark! Slot

Shaaark! – Video Slot review

Vegas Technology’s latest video slot release Shaaark! is themed toward the summertime fear of sharks in the ocean.

This new 25-line, 5-reel video slot can be played for a penny per line up to ten cents per line. The game features a wild and scatter symbol plus nine other symbols all themed to the ocean. The highest paying symbol during regular play is a man in an inner tube. Get five of these symbols on a payline and you’ll be awarded 1,000 coins.

The shark symbol is the wild symbol of the game and substitutes for all other symbols with the exception of the scatter symbol to complete a winning combination for you. The symbol animates to the shark coming toward you when used to complete a winning combination. It is the highest paying symbol of the game awarding you a generous 4,000 coins if five appear on a payline.

The scatter symbol of this slot is a shark fin. Two scatters appearing anywhere on your screen pays you even money on your triggering bet. Three or more scatters will award you ten free spins with a two time multiplier. During free spin play, selected symbols of the game turn into the wild shark symbol. The feature can be re-triggered during free spin play.

My Play

Beginning with $50, I played Shaaark! at five cents per line on all twenty-five lines for a total of $1.25 per spin. Within a total of 74 spins, the wild symbol completed twelve winning combinations for me, the scatter paid me even money on my triggering bet three times and the free spin feature was never triggered. My highest wins during regular play were between $2.00 & $5.60 and that only happened a total of four times … the other wins were all $1.00 or less (other than the three even money pays of $1.25 for two scatters appearing)

Well, I liked the colourful & crisp graphics of this game and the shark animation was a plus but that’s about all I liked about it. Nothing really held my interest at all… not the paytable, the theme, nothing. A bonus game would’ve done nicely for this slot … perhaps geared around a shark attack or something. And it would’ve been nice to trigger the free spin game even once in a total of 74 spins. Not a slot I would play again or recommend to anyone.
